WelcomeOntoBase is designed to overcome the "impedance mismatch" between Object-oriented technology and Relational Database technology. It achieves this goal by incorporating knowledge base (Protégé) inside application middle tier.

OntoBase is currently available only as Protégé "tab plug-in". You can define new classes and map it to columns of one or more tables. In its current form OntoBase can be simply “snapped on” any relational database to provide access to data, virtually without any programming.
