Asterisk-IM is a plugin for the Openfire XMPP server that connects your phone with instant messaging.
Asterisk-IM manage your presence when you are on the phone. If you are using a client, that supports the corresponding XMPP extensions, you can also use Asterisk-IM to call your buddies and receive notifications on incoming calls.
